Together we think big, we ask questions, we create, we caffeinate, we whiteboard … you will be doing:As a Scrum Master with Global Payments, you will lead new rollouts of the products that handle billions in payments each year. This is the core of our business and we have an ambitious product roadmap we need you to deliver. You’ll work with the product and business teams to deliver new offerings in the products that thousands of businesses depend on to accept payments online. You’ll be responsible for continuously improving Agile processes in your team and the wider organisation. You’ll drive our Agile maturity working with teams using Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery, DevOps and other advanced technical practices. In short, you’ll own a key part of our development future… and get to deliver some cool stuff.What you will be responsible for: We get things done right; you’ll need to ensure teams are following the values and practices of ScrumWe’re a delivery oriented bunch; commitment and delivering early, often and to plan is criticalWe work as one team so you will assist team members (Dev, QA, Ops.) to ensure sprint and release goals are achievedYou will lead the standard scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, release planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and scrum of scrums. You’ll use your experience of advanced collaborative engagement techniques in these ceremonies to create high performing development teamsYou’ll own issue and risk management for your projects, solving problems and working to remove impediments to both the team and the overall releaseWe’re a collaborative lot; you’ll work with Product Managers on a daily basisWe’re obsessed with getting better at what we do; you’ll evangelise and continuously improve our ways of working and Agile deliveryYou’ll have responsibility for reporting at sprint and release level as well as gathering actionable metrics for your teamsWe work in a fast-moving agile set-up, so expect to pitch in with other responsibilities from time to time alsoWhat qualities you will bring: Technical ExpertiseExperience as a Scrum Master for at least 3 years with a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory. Expert in agile project management and Scrum - Knowledge of other Agile approaches desirable: XP, Kanban, DAD, FDD, etc.As a technologist you will be fully conversant with all aspects of software systems and processesPlanning & DeliveryOutstanding analytical and problem solving skillsA proven ability to deliver on software projects in a fast-paced environmentStrong experience in agile development and project delivery practicesExperience of the technology, tools and techniques that support agile development ( Jira, CI/CD, Story-mapping)Scrum and/or project management industry qualifications are an advantageQuality OrientationStrong attention to detailCommitted to high quality amongst delivery teams in project documentation, delivery processes and outputs and seek continuous improvement of theseCommunication & Relationship ManagementExcellent written and verbal communication and facilitation skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to tailor communication to the audienceLeadershipAbility to lead and motivate a teamPassionate about creating and coaching high performing teamsGlobal Payments Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.Global Payments provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, veteran status, genetic information or any other basis protected by law.
