Location: Dublin, as part of our hybrid working model. Grade: Senior Associate to Newly Qualified or Legal Executive (Director to Associate) Contract type: PermanentA snapshot of your peer group: Qualified solicitor or barrister, admitted to practice law in Ireland, with a minimum of 2 years PQE in Intellectual Property and Technology Law. In-depth knowledge and experience in Irish and EU Intellectual Property laws, regulations, case law, and commercial implications, with a focus on trademarks, patents, copyrights, designs, and trade secrets. Ideally, demonstrated expertise in Technology Law, including data protection, privacy, e-commerce, software licensing, digital media, and related legal frameworks. If you are an IP litigator, strong advocacy skills with a track record of successfully handling IP and technology-related disputes, including drafting pleadings, conducting negotiations, and representing clients in court proceedings. Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide clear, concise, and effective legal advice. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for client counselling and preparing complex legal documentation. Here is what you can initially expect: Provide expert legal advice and counsel on all facets of Intellectual Property and Technology Law, including trademarks, patents, copyrights, designs, trade secrets, and related commercial implications. Offer specialised legal guidance in Technology Law, encompassing data protection, privacy, e-commerce, software licensing, digital media, and other technology-related legal issues. Assist clients in effectively managing and safeguarding their IP portfolios, including trademark regulations, patent applications, copyright enforcement, and trade secret protection. Handle complex IP disputes and litigation matters, including infringement claims, opposition proceedings, invalidity actions, and technology-related disputes, while representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings. Skilfully draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of IP and technology-related agreements, including licensing agreements, software development contracts, technology transfer agreements, and data protection policies.
