Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Location: Limerick/Galway/Dublin Role: As a Quantity Surveyor you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of our projects. You will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, managing budgets, and ensuring cost-effectiveness throughout all stages of construction. Your attention to detail and ability to analyze financial information will contribute to the overall success of our projects. You will collaborate with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to optimize project costs while maintaining high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities: • Conducting detailed cost estimates for construction projects. • Managing project budgets and financial forecasts. • Evaluating and negotiating subcontractor and supplier contracts. • Monitoring and controlling project costs, highlighting any potential variances. • Collaborating with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities. • Providing regular financial reports and updates to project stakeholders. • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry. • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes. • Proficient in cost estimation and budget management software. • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. • Effective communication and negotiation abilities. • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. • Professional certification (e.g., RICS) is a plus. Experience: • Minimum 5+ of years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry. • Demonstrated success in managing project budgets and controlling costs.
