Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Location: Limerick/Galway/Dublin Role: As a Quantity Surveyor you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of our projects. You will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, managing budgets, and ensuring cost-effectiveness throughout all stages of construction. You will collaborate with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to optimize project costs while maintaining high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities: • Conducting detailed cost estimates for construction projects. • Managing project budgets and financial forecasts. • Evaluating and negotiating subcontractor and supplier contracts. • Monitoring and controlling project costs, highlighting any potential variances. • Collaborating with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities. • Providing regular financial reports and updates to project stakeholders. • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry. • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes. • Proficient in cost estimation and budget management software. • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. • Effective communication and negotiation abilities. • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. • Professional certification (e.g., RICS) is a plus. Experience: • Minimum 5+ of years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry. • Demonstrated success in managing project budgets and controlling costs.
