Trainee / Graduate Accountant

A medium sized Accountancy Practice in Cork City are currently looking to expand their operations and are seeking a Trainee / Graduate Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have recently graduated, or be in a Trainee Accountant position at the moment and looking for a chance. Please see below the responsibilities and some requirements in order to be successful in this process. THE ROLE: * Assist in the preparation of financial statements for a variety of clients. * Liaise with Company Registration office and Revenue Commissioners to ensure timely filing of statutory documents/returns. * Work with Audit team managers in all aspects of accounts preparation to completion. * Prepare income tax and corporation tax returns under supervision of manager. REQUIREMENTS: * Undergraduate 2.1 degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or similar * An effective and motivated team player. * Strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise workload and multi task. * Good interpersonal and communication skills. * Good numeracy skills. * An interest in the use of technology in accounting. * Self-starter who can critically analyse and assess information.
