Job Objectives We are seeking applications for the position of Management Accountant. This is an ideal role for a newly qualified applicant looking to join a fast paced and dynamic environment willing to demonstrate their ability and skillset within the Finance Department. This will include the following on a daily basis: Preparation of monthly management accounts. All monthly journals and transactions processed on accounting software. Responsible for Balance Sheet Control Account Reconciliations. Trend analysis of key cost drivers and make recommendations for improvement. Variance analysis for all costs between actual and budget and reporting on same Monitor and report on Capital Expenditure budgets Continuous review and reporting of organisation adherence to finance internal controls, policies and procedures Liaise and support Department Heads with their budget and continuing financial performance Conduct ad hoc financial appraisals as required with clear outcomes identified. Assist in month end preparation and reporting Assist in annual audit preparation and reporting Involvement in design, testing and roll-out of new systems. Skills Requirement Qualification: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Knowledge: Knowledge of standards and legislation relevant to the area. Experience: Experience in social care or a health-related discipline desirable but not essential. Skills: Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively under own initiative. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to work to and achieve time critical deadlines. Excellent organisation and planning skills. Excellent Excel skills and proficient in Word and PowerPoint. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Benefits Company Pension.
