My client, a leading medical device manufacturer, are seeking a Senior R&D Engineer for their unit focused on cardiac pacing and defibrillation solutions. Responsibilities·Design and develop new medical devices from initial concept phase through design freeze, verification, and validation and finally into commercialisation phase. ·Work from basic clinical need through opportunity assessment and device concept to prototype. ·Meet with physicians to understand their needs & translate same into product requirements and concepts. ·Identify and mitigate technological risks throughout the design process. ·Apply understanding of anatomy & physiology with engineering knowledge in materials and processes to produce working designs. ·Assist in the resolution of technical obstacles with existing designs·Contribute to generation of intellectual property. ·Delegate/direct work of experienced engineers. ·Provide coaching/guidance to less experienced team members.Requirements •Level 8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering or related discipline•A minimum of 5 years relevant direct engineering experience within medical device environment.•Medical device product development experience•Proven experience in Design of Experiments, Six Sigma, DFM etc. If interested please send your CV to #LI-EL2#CplEmerLong
