Your new company An innovative multinational retail organisation based in North Dublin is looking for a new senior accountant who will specialise in everything to do with inventory. You will join a finance team of 35 people in an organisation that is operating in over 36 countries worldwide. Your new role The Stock and Margin accountant is responsible for analysing and ensuring data accuracy relating to the Stock and Margin transaction. Duties include:Journals - stock and stock in transit related transaction booking, Turnover booking, Margin elements booking, Customs costs, transport costs, Royalties, Commissions, other costsEnsure the reliability and analysis of the stock and stock in transit information, stock in/stock outReport and communication with different contacts within the team and teams in FranceDealing with different tools, operational and accounting systems. Reconciling figures coming from different tools and ensuring data accuracyManage balance sheet reconciliations of allocated accounts, explain variations and ensure timely resolution and aged balance clean upContribute to monthly and annual financial closings for the assigned tasksAppropriate, apply and follow up the group and local accounting and complianceDealing with internal and external auditorsAd hoc assistance with completion or management of projects across the global finance team. Support with Continuous Process Improvement ProjectsWhat you'll need to succeed Must have full working rights in Ireland - a visa will not be provided.Fully Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA, Partially qualified or qualified by experience.4/5 years’ experience working in a similar role, preferably working in a similar business environment or significant exposure to the same if from a consulting backgroundAdvanced excel skillsGood problem solving and good reconciliation skillsWhat you'll get in return Fantastic opportunity to join a large finance team where they offer hybrid work (2-3 days) and excellent benefits.
