Are you interested in working with a progressive company located in Sligo that specialises in designing and building innovative automation solutions for our customers manufacturing needs? This is a hands-on position that involves the mechanical assembly and debugging of complex machines. As a MAMF apprentice at KAON Automation, you will work with experienced Machine Build Technicians and have the opportunity to work with a variety of high-tech equipment including mechanical mechanisms, pneumatics, robotics, electrical control systems, vision systems, and servo systems.The Machine Build Technician Role is critical to the success of a project and requires high standards and attention to detail in order to be able to meet the requirements set by the company.Role ResponsibilitiesAs a MAMF apprentice you will assist in the following tasksSupport the on-site qualified machine build technicians in build and debug of highly automated equipmentMachine build, including extruded aluminium, pneumatic and tooling assemblyUse of milling, drilling, welding, grinding equipmentManaging machine building materialsRestock mechanical components such as screws and fittingsIdentify innovate modifications & solutionsQuality testing/Pre-delivery checksAssist with machine installations on customer sites as requiredMaintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environmentAttention to detail is a key role requirement  Apprentice responsibilitiesApprentice needs to maintain a high standard of workmanship, with a strong safety record.The successful candidate should display a positive learning ethos.Willing to receive guidance and support from experienced engineers and technicians who are experts in their fields.Follow all the on-site safety and quality guidelines.Maintain a SOLAS training registerAttend block releases across a number of phases through the 4-year apprenticeship cycle, this may require travel to one of the Technical Institutions.Educational, Experience and Location Requirements:Applicants must have achieved at least Grade D in five Leaving Certificate subjects, including Mathematics and preferably one technical subject.Previous hands-on building experience is preferred but not required.Legally able to work in IrelandWillingness to live in or near Sligo as role is workshop basedCurrent driving licence and ability to travel as required
