The AWS Infrastructure organization is looking for a , results-oriented capacity planning leader. Based in our Dublin offices data center capacity planning owns the supply plan for data center power and space in response to the customer forecasts. We own initiatives to model and improve the utilization of our power, cooling and space infrastructure in our data centers so that we are generating capacity at the lowest possible cost.In this role you will work closely with demand planning, finance, construction, and software development teams to deliver high quality and robust capacity planning processes, with favorable business outcomes. You will identify defects or waste in our planning processes, and drive new processes and software automation to eliminate the defects and prevent them from recurring without posing risk to availability.Our Capacity Planning Managers work in collaborative, cross-functional environments and work backwards from the needs of internal and external customers to create solutions that work for upstream and downstream teams as well as data center capacity planning. They are part of high functioning teams and are committed to process improvement and analysing large data sets to communicate clear and concise insights.Key job responsibilitiesIn this role you will;• Take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces,• Clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote teams.• Be responsible for end-to-end program delivery of process improvement projects and data modelling exercises• Support continuous process improvement through leading workflow updates, documenting & implementing lessons learned and sharing knowledge across delivery teams to ensure EMEA wide efficiency improvements.• Regularly report to senior leadership on status of key project metrics vs. commitment of your projectsA day in the life About the teamDiverse ExperiencesAWS values diverse experiences. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Dublin, D, IRLBASIC QUALIFICATIONS•4+ years of Planning and program management experience within any critical environment industry•Bachelors degree in Business, Analytics, IT or Engineering•Demonstrable experience in effectively analyze planning metrics as it relates to large scale bi-annual financial planning effortsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS•Experience in management of complex databases or systems requiring deep analytical skills (data visualization, development experience, SQL etc.)•Experience of working with partners across global regions•Experience with and understanding of complex planning tools, understanding large scale data sets•Experience of building and presenting long term scenario plans to senior leadership, exercising business judgement
