Estimator

We are working on behalf of an established specialist construction contractor to source an experienced Estimator to join their team in their head office in Co Mayo.Responsibilities: Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and required materials and labour.Prepare accurate cost estimates.Analyse bids and proposals, and identify areas of risk and opportunity.Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate pricing and availability of materials and services.Work closely with management to ensure that budgets are managed effectively.Prepare and submit bids and proposals on time and in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.Continuously monitor and analyse the market to ensure competitive pricing and stay up-to-date with industry trends. Requirements: At least five years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and equipment.Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
