Medical Advisor/ Medical Science Liaison The Medical Advisor/Medical Science Liaison (MA/MSL) will provide local initiatives, projects and programs along companies Medical Strategy. The MA/MSL will identify and develop relationships with regional and national scientific leaders within the assigned territory will provide clinical and scientific information to the different external stakeholders. The MA/MSL will collaborate internally with the local cross functional team and with the EU medical affairs community. This role will be approx 20% office based and 80% field based activities. Key duties will include: · Medical Plan/ Brand plan: Development of the local Medical Strategy and Medical Plan within the therapeutic area related to cardiovascular, lipid and metabolic dysfunctions. Provide medical and scientific expertise to projects and support related activities such as educational programs, satellite symposia and communication campaigns Contribute to the development of the Commercial Brand plan. · Stakeholder Management:Identify, develop and maintain successful relationships with regional and national scientific leaders, clinical investigators and institutions including local scientific organizations in order to achieve mutually agreed upon objectives · External presentations:Participates in medical education for healthcare professionals through presentations in medical meetings, and other appropriate venues (hospitals, clinics) to enhance product and disease state knowledge. · Evidence generation:Support the local evidence generation program. Collaborates with clinical team to coordinate and optimize educational and research support for sites/investigators participating in companies clinical trials · Knowledge development:Maintains clinical knowledge of treatment trends including current treatment strategies, current and pending competitors, and new therapeutic developments. The successful candidate will have · Life science, biology or biochemistry degree (academic degree, preferably PhD, PharmD or MD degree) · More than 2years´ experience in medical affairs (MSL and/or MA) · Cardiology, especially Lipid and/or Diabetes experience strongly preferred · Result-oriented, as well as independent and self-reliant working style, high teamwork ability and ability to build and entertain networks · Proven project management skills and experience in working in a multi-stakeholder environment consisting of internal and external experts · Experience in preparation of presentations and very good presentation skills. · Possess a proven ability to effectively communicate complex information · Understanding of compliance environment and relevant local codes of practice. · Thorough understanding of the local healthcare system · Fluent in scientific English (written and spoken) · Willingness to travel within the country.
