Manufacturing Engineering Manager Key Duties will include: Lead and develop a team of engineers in a medical device manufacturing environment. Manage product and process change activities, technology transfers while assuring continuity of supply. Work cross functionally & cross site to deliver finished product to the end customer. Lead projects to drive continuous improvement in key metrics in alignment with Lean, 6 Sigma, Design Robustness and Problem-Solving Principles Problem solve to solution level, with a structured approach, using the team, complete all associated planning and design validation activity required to achieve the desired outcome. Deliver solutions to enhance product reliability and process capability. Participate in the continuous development of the quality system, including standard operating procedures (SOP's), workflow development, product and process validations coupled with the ability to write concise technical reports. The successful candidate will have: Degree level or Higher in relevant technical discipline (Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electronics, Engineering, or alternative) with 10 years relevant engineering experience.. 5 years’ experience or more in a relevant leadership position. Very strong technical background (Mechanical / Electromechanical / Manufacturing) Structured analysis skills with experience in complex technical troubleshooting Excellent collaboration & communications skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders. Practical experience of supplier & manufacturing fabrication and assembly processes. A strong inspirational leader & excellent team player that knows how to develop and drive high performance teams. A high paced individual that leads by example, is organised and solution focused. Overall ability to combine technical, design and manufacturing skillsets in a high pace, dynamic environment. Systems level thinker, working across technologies, e.g. hardware, fluidics, electronics, optics and software etc. Can mentor, develop and guide the team in problem solving and is solutions driven. Utilises their knowledge and skillset to get the job done with pace, efficiently utilising all resources available. Knowledge of verification and validation of design changes and manufacturing equipment.
