Tandoori Chef

Located in Raheen, Limerick, Great National South Court Hotel and due to the continued success of our award winning authentic Indian Curry House we are now seeking to recruit an additional experienced Tandoori Chef to join our dynamic team. The Curry House team pride themselves in preparing and producing genuine authentic Indian cooking which has been inspired by the traditions of India. Job description: The preparation and service of dishes according to the required standards. Ensuring that the food that is produced is consistently meeting such standards. To assist the Head Chef in creating daily specials Monitoring food stocks and ensuring that stock is constantly rotated. Following all procedures and guidelines as stipulated by HACCP. Responsibility of looking after junior chefs on the section To work within a team and show respect to all colleagues at all times Ensuring that the work is section is cleaned down during and after service. Minimizing food waste and ensuring that any food waste is disposed of correctly. The successful candidate: Have at least 3 years experience in Tandoori and also of specialty dishes within the various regions of India. Be proficient in the use of clay ovens. Possess an excellent knowledge of the raw ingredients involved in the preparation and making of traditional Indian dishes including a variety of naan breads. Have a thorough working knowledge of HACCP preferably a level 2 certification. Strong organisation skills and have the ability to time manager his/her own day.
