The Project Specialist/APM will be the custodian of the project plan and will be responsible for ensuring tasks are carried out in accordance with the plan. Projects will include, but not be limited to, new distribution centre design and build, distribution site conversions, building fit out, automation installation, associated systems implementations, IT system development, Testing, Training and Operations transition. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day: Build comprehensive plan plans for those projects. Consolidating project plans provided by the workstream leads of Build, Automation, IT Infrastructure, IT Systems, Operations, Testing and Cutover.Work with the Automation provider, building contractors, IT development teams, Operations Teams, and Testing teams to establish optimal project plans and installation sequences.Arrange and hold weekly project plan updates with each workstream lead and updating the consolidated project plan accordingly.Monitor project task completion and ensure progress is made to plan and adjustments made whenever necessary.Support operations and other teams in the transition from project to normal business as usual. This will include developing transition and cutover plans. Able to deliver in the face of varied and frequent challengesThe individual should be self-motivated, focussed and results orientated, with the ability to operate within a highly pressurised and fast paced environment.This role will require the successful candidate to be able to work away for long periods with potentially substantial international travel.Ready?
