Commercial Assistant Business support Dublin Permanent PART 1: Role Details Role Title Commercial Assistant Department NBI Networks Reports To Commercial Manager Location Dublin PART 2: Role Purpose The Commercial Assistant will provide advice and report on and control all commercial and financial aspects of projects and contracts. The role includes offering support to the Project Manager to allow projects to be safely delivered on time, to budget and to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction. The Commercial Assistant will also assist the Commercial Manager in providing commercial expertise for projects to maximise returns by working within robust procedures to support the Commercial Manager and Project Managers. Ensuring you are responsible for yourself and/or team members who report into you Under the instruction of the commercial manager, process weekly site measures and variations, using MS Excel, data from the project workflow management system and docket books Assist in preparing weekly and monthly client payment submissions and subcontractor payments Assist in the preparation, review and reporting of weekly metrics reports Analyse designed Bill of Quantities vs measured works Assist the Commercial Manager & QS in preparing project reports. cost and value comparisons, turnover forecasts, P&Ls etc. ensuring information is complete and accurate PART 4: Person Specification Education/Qualifications 2 years’ experience in administrative, commercial support role Experience Proactive commercial awareness and understanding of the Construction process Understanding of the telecommunications industry an advantage Skills & Competencies (evidence of) Technical Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint ideally EDCL qualified Comfortable work with large amounts of data, sourced from bespoke database systems Interpersonal Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills required Business Skills Ability to use a range of IT packages including Microsoft Office and bespoke packages Excellent communication skills, both oral & written Self-motivated and strong accurate administrative skill Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines Personal Positive attitude at all times and the ability to integrate and play active part in the operations team Time Management ACT 2
