As a Specifications Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and safety of our product specifications. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage documentation, and contribute to the successful launch of new products.ResponsibilitiesProduct Specifications Creation and Review:Work closely with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Production teams to create and review detailed product specifications.Ensure accuracy in ingredient lists, allergen information, nutritional data, and packaging details.Packaging and Labeling Compliance:Thoroughly review packaging artwork and labeling to meet legal requirements.Verify that all product labels adhere to industry standards and provide clear information to consumers.Supplier Coordination:Collaborate with suppliers to verify raw material specifications.Ensure consistency in quality attributes across our product range.Artwork Management:Oversee the artwork approval process, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and regulatory norms.Maintain an organized system for managing packaging artwork files.Technical Expertise:Stay informed about food safety regulations, labeling laws, and industry trends.Provide technical guidance to internal teams and external partners.Project Management:Lead specifications projects related to new product launches, reformulations, and line extensions.Meet project deadlines and communicate progress effectively.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.Minimum of 2+ years experience as a Food Technologist or Specifications Technologist in a food manufacturing environment.Proficiency in using specifications management software and tools.Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Knowledge of food labeling regulations (e.g., EU regulations) is essential.BenefitsCompetitive salaryHybrid workingFlexible working hoursOpportunities for growth and progression
