If you have a passion for fostering high-performing teams and influencing strategic decision-making, this is your chance to make a lasting contribution.Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities:Team Leadership and Management:Lead and empower a team of 12 financial reporting professionals.Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback for direct reports.Oversee the work of second-line managers, ensuring effective team structure and delegation.Cultivate a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.Financial Reporting & Close Process:Oversee the entire financial reporting process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process effectively.Implement and maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting.Technical Expertise & Accounting Standards:Possess a deep understanding of IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.Stay informed of evolving accounting pronouncements and regulations.Collaborate with stakeholders on complex accounting issues and review recommended approaches suggested by your team.Financial Analysis & Reporting:Prepare insightful financial reports to provide management with a clear understanding of the company's financial performance and position.Identify trends and potential risks.Make data-driven recommendations for improved financial management.Drive delivery of the cash target for the company for the year.Transformational Leadership:Steer the team through transformational changes that impact the financial reporting area.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial reporting function.Collaborate with stakeholders in different functions to achieve IT upgrades required in the area.We Are Looking For You, If You Have:Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA), with 5+ years post qualification experience.Proven ability to build and manage high-performing teams.Adept at communicating effectively across all levels and departments.Thrive in creating and maintaining well-defined systems and procedures.Possess the skill of translating complex data into compelling narratives that resonate with senior leadership.Approach challenges with a clear focus and a solution orientated mindset regardless of the scenario.Who we are:Vodafone is pioneering Ireland's Gigabit society.We are Ireland's leading total communications provider offering products and services make a real impact in the lives and communities of our customers.As part of Vodafone Group, we are part of the world's largest mobile community with a presence across all five continents.We’re at the forefront of innovation in Ireland.
