My client based in South Dublin, a multi-national Corporate Financial Services requires a lending analyst to support their corporate finance team. We have both entry-level and senior analyst positions that offer an ideal opportunity to gain exposure to a new, strategically important, and high-profile team within the corporate finance division. The aim is to help shape the future processes within lending support across the entire global network. The role would suit candidates that want to begin or expand a career in corporate lending and credit analysisExcellent salary & benefits on offer.Key Responsibilities:Analysing financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement) of public and private companies and inputting the required data into various credit analysis systems. Screening the loan agreements and understanding the financial covenants applicable to the borrower.Preparation of various reports for lending teams across the globe for overdue ratings, covenants and financials – we want to be able to proactively help the lending teams resolve any issues before they may arise. Conducting background research independently to understand the broad drivers that guide various sectors in which the borrowers operate with a view to performing a brief risk assessment, resulting in an appropriate risk rating. You will develop credit, analytical and technical skills while gaining hands-on experience in your role. You will work with engaged managers and have exposure to global teams across all areas of Wholesale Banking (e.g., corporate, real estate, and financial institutions etc.Your Experience & Skills:Bachelor’s degree preferred - if possible, in Business, Accounting, Finance or Economics but can be in another discipline coupled with a strong result in Accounting at Leaving Certificate and/or a professional qualification such as CFA, CIMA, ACCA or ACA (could be ongoing). Ideally, work experience should be in financial services involving corporate loans, SME lending, processing credit or mortgage applications and monitoring loans on an ongoing basis.Previous experience with legal/loan documentation would be extremely beneficial. Solid understanding of the financial statements of companies. We value resourcefulness, teamwork, and enthusiasm all of which might be demonstrated via your previous work experience or perhaps involvement in extracurricular activities.High level of attention to detail coupled with strong organisational and scheduling skills are important. Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
