Food Safety & Quality Manager

Job description I am recruiting for a Full Time & Permanent Food Safety & Quality Manager. With an excellent salary on offer, this is an exciting time to join a much-loved local brand here in Cork. The successful candidate will be responsible for the site food safety management systems (including HACCP), quality and legal compliance ensuring that processes and procedures are maintained and that the site is audit ready at all times and our GFSI accreditation is upheld.Coordinate and manage the food safety teamManage food safety culture on site ensuring accountability of all staff and management for food safety Verify (and validate) documented systems to ensure legal complianceDevelop, update and manage the documented food safety management system [FSMS] Manage the day to day prerequisite programme/GMP which are essential for production and process safetyReview the FSMS annually, in conjunction with the external consultant and follow up on actionsManage the internal audit programme and monthly inspections as part of GFSI requirementsReview and update risk assessments of all products, packaging and processesIdentify non conformances, complete root cause analysis, implement corrective action and documentManage customer complaints and address any issues promptly, ensuring good communication Manage customer requirements in relation to completing specifications, informing customers of change, dealing with customer enquiries and managing customer auditsManage the approved supplier list, ensuring all supporting documentation is in place and reviewed annuallyEducation & experience:BSc Hons 7, as a minimum in foods science or related discipline2-3 years' experience in a management role where food safety & quality is a key focusExperience in managing certification standardsFood Safety Training QQI L6 Designing FSMS or equivalentAuditing training - QQI L6 Conducting Food Standards Audits or equivalentAt Staffline Recruitment Ireland, we bridge the gap between talent and opportunity.
