For full job description please visit:  Open Roles | Careers | SEAI Description We have an exciting opportunity in the Information Compliance Team in SEAI's Governance and Procurement Department. The Information Compliance/Data Protection Executive will sit in the Governance and Procurement Department and support the Senior Information Compliance Officer/Data Protection Officer (DPO). The Job Profile The Governance & Procurement Department is responsible for managing the compliance activities of the Authority and includes Information Compliance, Legal, Internal Audit and Risk Management, Procurement and Grants Compliance. The successful candidate will provide support to the DPO/ Senior Information Compliance Officer on all areas of information compliance in a fast-moving environment and working to demanding deadlines. They will play a key role in supporting SEAI's Data Protection Officer in further embedding the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the Authority and in monitoring compliance with the Authority's obligations under data protection legislation. In addition, the successful candidate will also provide support on SEAI's other compliance obligations across a diverse framework, including, Freedom of Information, Access to Information on the Environment and Ombudsman Complaints. Responsibilities The responsibilities of the role outlined in this job description are indicative of the currently envisaged scope and may be added to or altered as required, in line with the requirement of SEAI across Business Units/Department. They will include, but not limited to, the following: Supporting the Information Compliance obligations of SEAI, in particular, in ensuring SEAI's compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and data protection laws. Support to the DPO through the administration and execution of data protection responsibilities, including: - SEAI's Records of Processing Activities (RoPAs). - Data Protection Impact Assessments. - Data Breach Assessments and Reports. - Data Protection training and awareness. - Development and implementation of appropriate data protection agreements with third parties. - Providing advice and guidance to staff on compliance with the GDPR. In the absence of the DPO to act as the contact point for data subjects of SEAI. Support and assist SEAI's DPO to ensure privacy forms part of all business strategies, In the absence of the DPO, cooperate with requests from the Data Protection Commissioner during its supervisory function. Responding to requests under statutory frameworks, such as Freedom of Information (FOI) Access to Information on the Environment (AIE) and Data Subjects' Rights requests. Coordinate and manage other areas of the Department, such as External Disclosures and Ombudsman Complaints submitted to the Authority. Eligibility to Work:  The SEAI has a legal obligation to ensure that all employees are lawfully entitled to work in Ireland. Where applicable and to support a candidate's application, candidates must submit a valid work permit/visa confirming permission to work in Ireland. Failure to submit the required evidence, and failure to hold a valid permit/visa during the period of the contract, will result in the application and/or contract of employment being rendered void.  #LI-Hybrid
