Job Description The role: In this role you will assist with the procurement of construction services for Elgin Energy’s project pipeline.   This is a newly created opportunity with Elgin Energy as we are growing Elgin Construction Management (“ECM”) services team. You will support on the engagement with supply chain during the procurement process and liaise with the Construction team for EPC services and Grid team for ICP services. You will help coordinate with the wider project delivery team to support the development and delivery of Elgin Energy’s project pipeline to energisation by providing assistance throughout the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.   You will have the opportunity to support and influence the development and growth of the wider project delivery team.   To be successful in the role, you will have knowledge of supply chain and procurement processes, project management, construction contract structures, and the equipment and services required for the design and construction of solar PV plants, energy storage and grid connection infrastructures.   What you will do: Support the Procurement Manager on the tender processes: development of tender documentation; engagement with bidders; evaluation of contractor proposals in conjunction with the wider Elgin team; tendering documentation management. Support on preparation of the procurement FID inputs and deliverables. Support the Project Management team during the implementation of the construction contracts, in coordination the wider ECM team, to ensure projects are delivered in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Support on reporting requirements and liaison with Finance team on invoicing and cash flow, as necessary.   Support on developing and maintaining strategic relationships with contractors and suppliers, including regular commercial updates and technical workshops. Development and maintenance of technical and commercial databases. Stay abreast of latest technical industry developments and help elaborate roadmaps of next generation technologies; provide internal updates to ensure these are factored in at the preliminary design stage.    Track commercial trends and provide internal updates.    Produce regular reports on supply chain developments. Help develop internal Procurement processes and procedures. Undertake site visits where required. Your profile Your profile: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, business management or related discipline. Be curious about renewables and passionate about contributing towards a more sustainable future. Have excellent organization skills, be thorough and with high attention to detail.   Basic knowledge of engineering, organizational process modelling and legal fundamentals. Willingness to learn and to participate in teamwork. Valid driver's license for UK & Ireland. About us Elgin Energy is a full-service, utility scale, solar+storage platform bringing projects from origination through to energisation.
