FRS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Ruminant Nutritionist in Northern Ireland on behalf of a leading global animal nutrition business. This is a full-time permanent role. Due to an internal promotion, we now have an exciting position for an On Farm Ruminant Nutritionist. You will be joining an established team and ideally you will have a minimum of 1-2 years previous work experience. The primary purpose of this role is to provide farmers with advice and support on diet formulation, feed costs , feed conversion efficiency & mineral supplementation. Ideally you will be able to provide farmers with a whole farm view on profitable farming solutions. Your customer base will consist of some very progressive dairy and beef farmers in Northern Ireland. May also suit candidates on the boarder counties of Louth, Monaghan, Cavan regions. Duties to include. Provide onfarm nutritional support to farmers. Advise farmers on diet formulation & mineral supplementation. Identify changes to be made for optimal animal performance. Work closely with customers during the dry cow period. Maintain CRM system & record customer results & findings. Attend open days & seminars. Build long-term business relationships with farmers and other stakeholders. Work as part of a team. Candidate profile Relevant Animal Science/Agricultural qualification and/or similar. 2+ years appropriate livestock, farm, or nutrition advisory experience. Previous commercial experience desirable.
