Depositary Services Ireland acts as depositary to a broad range of investment vehicles across numerous client segments. The role of a depositary is to protect the interests of the shareholders and safeguard the fund’s assets in accordance with EU Regulations and the requirements of the Central Bank of Ireland. Job SummaryThis position is an opportunity for a suitable candidate to join the Depositary Client Management team with an initial focus on client and stakeholder due diligence and subsequently expanding to include responsibility for a portfolio of clients.Job responsibilitiesDue DiligencePlan and execute due diligence reviews of Manco / AIFM, Fund Accounting and Transfer Agency operations using a risk-based approach and following the procedures and practices established for the EMEA regional Depositary Due Diligence Function.Assess the governance structure, processes, and controls framework of the entity under review.Analyse and report findings from the due diligence review.Manage client interactions throughout the due diligence process, including communications of any findings and follow up actions. Collaborate with Depositary Services teams across Europe in the planning, execution and governance of Due Diligence reviews where there are cross locational Mancos and Administrators.Support audit, controls and regulatory requirements and requests as required.Depositary Client ManagementActing as the primary contact for allocated Depositary Services clients and respective delegates.Deliver best in class service levels to allocated clients.Preparation and delivery of reporting and metrics to clients / Fund Boards.Represent Depositary Services at client board meetings and periodic service reviews. Ensure appropriate depositary ‘independent’ challenge with senior client personnel / Fund Board where required. Management of client queries, issues, and internal referrals through to resolution.Error and breach management, working closely with the Administrator, Client / Manco, and Depositary Services Investment Compliance Monitoring Function to ensure satisfactory closure of breaches and errors including fund / investor impact assessment.Notification of material breaches, errors, and significant matters to the Central Bank of Ireland.Escalating material matters to Depositary Services Senior Management.Capturing client / product change and updates as they impact the depositary.Review of fund documentation to ensure any changes to investment objectives; distributions or any other relevant updates are shared with the appropriate functional teams in a timely manner.Review of fund documentation to capture any product changes which may require notification and / or approval by shareholders.Completion of all daily/weekly/monthly tasks as required by depositary management checklists.Coordination, sign-off and the monitoring of compliance with the Performance Standards Document / Service Agreements. Oversight of the end-to-end Depositary Services operating model & Risk Assessments, working closely with the Risk Oversight Function. Proactive engagement on product / industry issues.Support audit, controls and regulatory requirements and requests as required.Required qualifications, capabilities, and skillsEducation to degree standard (or equivalent) in an Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline is preferred and/or at least 7 years relevant experience in the Fund’s IndustryStrong interpersonal and client facing skillsGood working knowledge of UCITS/AIFMD regulatory requirementsExperience in fund accounting or depositary services Organized, proactive and communicative with an ability to take initiative and assume responsibilityExcellent written and spoken communication skillsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsStrong analytical skills, particularly with regard to assessing risk materiality and impact, to help ensure that Dublin Depositary Services maintains an efficient and effective oversight modelStrong team player, able to multi-task and work under pressure in a dynamic business environment and with excellent influencing and partnering skillsAbility to “join the dots” and evidence good judgment under pressure
