About The Role Currie & Brown is currently looking for a chartered quantity surveyor for our Dublin office to join our Data Centre Team to support service delivery on large High Tech projects both in Ireland and across Europe. The successful candidate will pro-actively support project leaders in generating a high standard of day to day service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider. The candidate will be required to develop and mentor the junior staff supporting the Senior Management Team, fulfilling the role of Work Order Manager within a short period, responsible for budgeting and resource management of projects under their supervision. Currie & Brown are committed to career development and expect the successful, candidate will rapidly progress to senior level and beyond, managing all aspects of their own commissions. This position is in the Dublin office, and offers a blended mix of office and working from home. Responsibilities: Conducting feasibility studies, options appraisals for sites Writing procurement reports Applying value management techniques at the outset of a project Supporting and Managing estimating and cost planning activities at 30%, 50 % and 80 % design completion levels, to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan Supporting and Managing the procurement process, preparing quantities and bid templates Ensuring that cost checking and valuation work is managed effectively Managing the live change control systems and contingency budget management Undertaking value engineering and lifecycle costing Negotiating and concluding final accounts Taking a lead role in interfacing with the clients construction teams and other consultants at all project stages Cost managementand ensuring that they deliver on all of the above accountabilities Requirements: BSc in quantity surveying or equivalent Chartered Membership of the Society of Chartered Surveyors of Ireland / RICS Experience in delivery of large-scale high-tech projects favourable.
