Cork Anti-Poverty Resource Network is a community-based organisation that aims to encourage and empower individuals to become active agents in shaping their own lives and communities. Currently, CAPRN is responsible for five Cork community-based projects:• Write Together: Adult Literacy Scheme. • Mná Feasa: Domestic Violence Project. • Women Supporting Women: A Mentoring Programme for Women Parenting Alone. • Páisti @ No.3: Childcare facility. • Cork City North Mature Women’s Action Group: Collective of Mature women working towards change.We are now looking for a Network Coordinator to join our team. The role will be responsible for the coordination of all activities related to our work and ethos. This is a part time role which will report to the CAPRN Board of management.Salary or pay scale: €30,000 per annum or as negotiatedHours of work: 25 hours per weekLocation: Education and Resource Centre, No.5 Churchfield Avenue, Churchfield.Summary of the role: The successful candidate will liaise with the five projects which come under the umbrella of CAPRN and work in tandem with the team leaders/co-ordinators of each project to ensure that the needs of the different projects are explored and met. The successful candidate will also work in collaboration with administration groups, HR group and the Finance group.Role and duties of the coordinator:· Manage the day-to-day operations of the Network· Coordinate the budgeting, financial reporting with the finance officer· Manage the record keeping of the organisation including data retention, data storage, GDPR compliance across the Network and IT security· Coordinate all fundraising activities across the Network in conjunction with the Board and with the involvement of the projects sourcing both public grant aid and private sponsorship· Coordinate with outside contractors and providers of any external contracts, leasing arrangements and expert provision in conjunction with the Board and the Finance Group· Attend the meetings of each administration group, of the Finance group, of the Governance Group and provide secretarial back up to the Governance Group, the Finance Group and the HR Group· Ensure with the Treasurer the delivery of all accounting and audit functions in an accurate and timely manner· Collaborate with Network Projects to identify local development needs and opportunities, liaising partnering and networking with other like community development organisations· Attend Board meetings providing minute taking and all necessary administrative back up to the Chairperson and Company Secretary· Manage all necessary statutory compliance including records in areas of contracts, charitable status and financial and accounting reports· Ensure all premises are adequately maintained with regard to Health and Safety requirements and liaise with all or any occupiers, owners and providers of premises in that regard· Oversee the implementation and management of CAPRN network Projects, ensuring they are delivered on, within budget and to a high standardRequirements:The candidate will be grounded in understanding of the challenges faced by CAPRN in providing relevant and positive change in the Community. The candidate is compassionate,practical and understanding in collaborating with others including representatives of the community and voluntary members on whose work the whole Network is based.· 5 years + recent experience in community development, project management, and administration· Relevant qualification in community development, administration or a related area· Excellent communication skill, IT skills and experience in Social Media· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with community organizations and stakeholders.· Ability to bring people together, both volunteers at every level and paid project staff· Knowledge of project management methodologies and experience in budgeting and financial management would be advantageous.
