Oliver James has partnered with an Insurance Start up in high growth mode for the appointment of a Compliance Manager reporting directly into the Head of Compliance. As a Compliance Manager, you play a pivotal role in ensuring our business adheres rigorously to all legal, regulatory, and governance standards, including robust data protection measures. Collaborating closely with diverse stakeholders and reporting to the Head of Compliance, you spearhead the development, review, and implementation of policies, procedures, and industry best practices.The successful candidate will have a varied day-to day comprising of but not limited to the following; Ensure meticulous compliance with pertinent legal, regulatory, and governance requisites, while staying abreast of evolving standards.Uphold conduct obligations, placing paramount importance on safeguarding policyholders' interests.Assist the Head of Compliance in various tasks such as reporting and representation in regulatory forums.Provide expert guidance and support to different business functions on compliance-related matters.Identify, analyze, and interpret upcoming regulations, coordinating seamlessly with business units to ensure seamless integration.Offer support to business functions in navigating compliance aspects of customer interactions.Ensure all customer communications and marketing materials adhere to requisite compliance and ethical benchmarks.Oversee the Business's adherence to local and European data protection regulations, including managing GDPR compliance training and conducting regular assessments.Supervise the compliance team's activities, including managing escalated complaints, conducting risk-based monitoring reviews, and overseeing the Business Compliance Framework.Provide strategic leadership to the compliance team, ensuring clear objectives are set and achieved annually.Qualifications and Skills:Possess relevant compliance qualifications or financial certifications (e.g., ACOI / CIP / APA).Previous managerial experience in a compliance role within a financial services organization, preferably in insurance.Deep understanding of Central Bank of Ireland's financial services standards and regulations.Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with senior management, regulators, and board members.Demonstrated people management expertise, with a track record of successfully leading teams.Our client is offering a competitive remuneration package and healthy remote working policy.
