Our client is a family run hotel of 2 located in the charming town of Mitchelstown, committed to providing exceptional service and unforgettable experiences to their guests. Currently seeking an experienced Accounts Executive with proficiency in Sage50 and Sage Payroll to join their dynamic team on a full time basis. Job Summary: As an Accounts Executive with expertise in Sage50 and Sage Payroll, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting and payroll functions within the hotel group. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively utilize Sage software to streamline financial processes. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance, using Sage50 software. Process payroll accurately and efficiently using Sage Payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and forecasts using Sage50, providing insights to support decision-making. Reconcile bank statements, accounts, and payroll records to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data. Collaborate with department heads to monitor expenses, analyse variances, and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines. Assist with year-end financial audits and tax filings, providing documentation and support as required. Stay informed about updates and enhancements to Sage software, implementing best practices to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or ACCA certification is a plus. 2-3 years of experience in accounting and payroll roles, with proficiency in Sage50 and Sage Payroll software. Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations, with the ability to apply them effectively. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
