Job Description AtkinsRéalis is one of the world’s leading providers of engineering professional consulting and support services with offices across Ireland.We have an opportunity for a Field Engineer who will be responsible for carrying out site visits within the Growth and Development framework and non-standard new Connections applications for our client, including performing site assessments, and creating Work Orders for non-standard new connections within a given region. The Field Engineer will work closely with 3rd parties assigned to work in the field ensuring the delivery of onsite connections services.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Provide excellent customer experience through the end-to-end connections process.Monitor incoming site inspection requests in relation to non-standard New Connection applicationsAssess plans received for further technical investigations e.g. future inspection of siteLiaise with team in arrangement of site visitsConduct site assessments in accordance with clients Health and Safety Policy and Standards, and input requirement into Work OrderCarry out technical and field assessment of the New Connections application as maybe requiredEnsure compliance with New Connection Standards and Policies in field workDocument results of inspections and approve/close Work Order as applicableLiaise with Senior/ Design Engineer in relation to any identified technical requirements for Work OrdersSupport the delivery of network development work when the need for new connections warrants expansion and reinforcement, working closely with the Local Authorities, Capital Delivery and/or 3rd party delivery partnersPerform adoption inspections and testing as necessaryEnsure provision of new/updated asset data to systemsEnsure any relevant customer and premise information gets recorded in GIS systems for multiple premise applicationsProvide support to the Connections & Developer Services senior management team as requiredPerform other such duties in relation to work and Customer OperationsKnowledge, Skills and Experience:Third level qualification in Engineering, or a related degree, with at least 5 years’ relevant experienceRelevant experience of connections management in a utility/local authority and; experience in water/wastewater is desirableKnowledge of planning applications and connections regulation desireableAbility to develop relationships to accomplish team goalsPrioritise tasks, work with schedules and manage resources while remaining focused on team goalsSet high standards, by encouraging others to assume responsibility and accountability for tasksAbout Us:At AtkinsRéalis we put Environment, Sustainability and Health & Safety at the heart of our business strategy.
