This position is for K2 Data Centres (K2 Strategic Infrastructure Ireland Limited), a company under Kuok (Singapore) Limited, based in Dublin, Ireland.Purpose of the Role:On a day-to-day basis, the Data Centre Specialist (DCS) is responsible for the executing, and assisting of the maintenance breakdowns and breakdown follow ups. Responsible for delivering a high quality maintenance service to the Data Centre. The DCS must ensure that maintenance works efficiently, effectively, safely and in line with the maintenance strategy. Responsible for carrying out planned work. Reporting Directly to the Facility Lead ResponsibilitiesWhile acting as DCS you are responsible for ensuring the successful operation, maintenance and repair of all critical equipment systems while maintaining 100% uptime on site.Plan completion of planned & reactive work orders, assigned to you, to achieve and maintain 100% compliance every month i.e. all work orders completed on or before due date.Assist in the planning, supervision and handover of any project related changes or improvements within the facility.Ensure that the Facilities Operations Centre (FOC), FOC Library, Stores & Workshop are clean and tidy at all times. Carry out routine housekeeping check of your area and follow a clean as you go approach to your work.Work closely with management and the wider operational team on the review of equipment failures and preparation of detailed root cause analysis and action plan reports.Provide input into and develop site specific procedures associated with Maintenance and operation of critical equipment: SOP’s, EOP’s, Drills etc.Assist in technical issues, project management, vendor management and technical reporting on all critical equipment and computerised systems.Escort and supervise/monitor work of third-party engineers and sub-contractors to ensure their compliance with the site standards when performing maintenance or relevant activities.Operate equipment, monitor and respond to alarms and abnormal conditions in the FOC as required. Ensure that EPMS, BMS, and Fire System alarms are responded to with the highest priority.Interpersonal RequirementsCommitted to the delivery of excellent customer service.Calm Manner, able to work under pressure.Self-motivated, ability to work on own initiative.Punctual and reliable.Good attention to detail.A team player, able to work with colleagues and clients staff at all levels. Skills set and Qualifications RequirementsMinimum 1-3 years of working experience in a Data Centre environment preferred.Effective communication and proficiency in spoken and written English preferably.You must be flexible in your working patterns to support requirements dictated by the rhythm of the business & operational demands. Good working ability on Microsoft Office Products, in particular Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service.
