An Exciting opportunity for an EHS Manager to join a global leading manufacturing company on a permanent basis in Waterford.Overview of Main Responsibilities (full job description available on request):Creates and ensures the ongoing development and maintenance of relevant safety policies, procedures, and guidelines consistent with current laws, corporate policies, and best practiceThe EHS Manager holds ultimate responsibility for overseeing the regular evaluation and updating of the safety statement and policy, including risk assessments, as well as ensuring the completion of the Annual Safety Review.Responsible for ensuring that team is trained in their roles and kept abreast of legislative changes whilst supporting the development of documentation, training and work instruction activities where appropriate.Work with key members of the leadership teams to develop organizational goals and implement strategies to achieve critical business goals.Manages the development and implementation of procedures to ensure that environmental regulatory obligations are fulfilled in a cost-effective manner, and that environmental risks are effectively managed.Audits and evaluates current policies, procedures and documentation for compliance with government laws and regulations and recommends changes to policies and procedures where necessary.Supports all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.What the ideal EHS Manager looks like:BS/BA equivalent with safety qualification.6+ years’ experience.Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.Exceptional organisational, leadership and interpersonal skills.
