Post SummaryWorking within a team of skilled payroll specialists, this role will play a senior role in providing a first class, professional service to our stakeholders. The Senior Payroll Specialist will work with the team on the end-to-end processing of the University payrolls (approx. 6000 Staff, Casual staff and visitors). The role will deputise for the Payroll Manager in the day-to-day supervision of the payroll team and handle complex technical payroll queries. A key role within the HR department, this role develop their knowledge on HR and Payroll related matters, collaborating and contributing to HR and Payroll projects as part of the wider HR department to develop and execute consistent processes and technological improvement. The Trinity Human Resources Department is a professional unit consisting of approx. 60 staff. The Payroll Services team is an integral part of the Trinity and is responsible for providing HR and Payroll administrative services to the University Community. There are three payrolls in place - fortnightly, monthly and casual, making approximately 6,000 payments per month. In addition, there is a small, outsourced payroll operation in Northern Ireland and Singapore. The role sits within a team of 4 Payroll professionals, reports to the Payroll Services Manager and will be deputising for the payroll manager on occasion in terms of team supervision. Post status: Specific Purpose ContractThis is a specific purpose contract. The specific purpose of this employment is to provide administrative support in advancement of the Payroll Shared Services Project. This employment is not offered on an indefinite basis as this project is finite. Termination of this contract will occur on completion of the work in which you are engaged in. Hours of Post: 35 hours per week Salary: This appointment will be made on the Administrative 2 Salary Scale (€54,907 - €64,515 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
