The regular weekly working hours correspond to full-time employment (currently 38.70 hours). If the collective agreement and personal requirements are met, the position will be graded up to pay group 13 TV-L. If you do not have the required scientific university degree, you will be placed in pay group 12 TV-L. As a central institution, Kiel University's Computer Center is responsible for the planning and operation of university-wide data communication, high-performance central computer and storage resources in various performance classes as well as central applications for research, teaching and administration. Among other things, the RZ develops and operates directory services for central authentication as well as the CAU's central identity management (IDM) for the administration of identities, accounts and authorizations for the use of internal and external services at the CAU. Your tasks: As a member of the Identity Management team, you will advise institutions and service providers on the use of two-factor/multifactor authentication (2FA/MFA) and modern authentication methods (OIDC, SAML2). You will coordinate the introduction of the relevant central technical systems, from the definition of objectives, specifications of workflows and technical procedures through to ongoing service. You coordinate the technical installation, configuration and operation of the applications as well as the integration into the technical IT infrastructure of the data center. You will be supported by the other team members, the other data center departments and contracted service providers. You will expand the web applications and portals in the identity management environment to include new functionalities, such as components for managing MFA tokens using the PrivacyIDEA API. They support service operators in connecting their applications to the new procedures by providing documentation, workshops and individual advice and assistance. Together with the other departments in the data center, you will develop workflows and central guidelines for issuing tokens and for supporting users with questions about setup and use and in the event of problems such as loss of tokens. You provide second-level support to the central service desk. You will work together with your colleagues in the IDM team on the conceptual and technical development of the identity management systems and support each other in day-to-day business. You network with colleagues from other universities in Schleswig-Holstein to exchange experiences, help each other and enable the mutual provision and use of services through coordinated federated systems. You bring with you: Ideally a scientific university degree in computer science or a related engineering or scientific field. Enthusiasm for complex IT projects. Ideally, you already have experience in the field of identity and/or access management. Knowledge of current software development practices, in particular dealing with git and managing software projects with Gitlab. Basic experience with the administration of Linux systems. Knowledge of IT security for public web applications and Linux systems. Willingness and interest to familiarize yourself with the listed and new technologies. Good knowledge of written and spoken German and English (C1 level). Strong communication and teamwork skills. systematic, efficient and goal-oriented way of working. Also desirable are: Basic knowledge of two-factor/multifactor authentication, ideally experience with PrivacyIDEA or another 2FA/MFA solution. Basic knowledge of classic LDAPS authentication as well as modern authentication methods such as OAUTH2, OIDC and SAML2, ideally experience with KeyCloak or Redhat SSO or Shibboleth. Experience with the use of Linux as a platform for organization-critical applications with high availability Experience in programming with Python, ideally using the Flask framework. Knowledge of developing interfaces with React JS, ideally in conjunction with Redux and Saga. Experience in the administration of open source database systems under Linux (MySQL, PostgreSQL). Basics of modern web development, e.g. HTML, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, Node, Java and Groovy.
