A leading professional services firm in the legal space are seeking a Compliance and Risk Officer to join their team on a full-time, permanent contract. In this role you will be responsible for conducting AML monitoring, regulatory reporting and governance duties for the Legal, Risk and Compliance team. You will have the opportunity to aid in growing and developing a dedicated internal risk function at the firm with tasks such as the onboarding of clients, risk management, due-diligence and more. Responsibilities Facilitate the onboarding of new clients and ensure AML records are created along with existing clients Act as a point of contact for clients and fee earners regarding onboarding queries Oversee relevant transactions for the business from a sanctions and conflicts perspective Assist the Risk Management Committee with implementing new risk prevention measures Ensure key compliance first and second line activities are conducted in a timely manner Requirements At least 3+ years’ experience in a similar role with extensive knowledge of AML Previous experience working in Professional Services is an advantage Strong compliance and corporate governance knowledge and knowledge of relevant legal regulations Strong communication skills both oral and written Strong work ethic with a flexible approach to work Willingness and resilience to work in a fast-paced environment Benefits The role offers a hybrid work and strong benefits.
