We are looking for a dedicated Senior Expediter to join our EMEA Team. The role can be based at either of our Irish offices in Dublin or Cork.In this role, you will report directly to the Procurement Manager in charge of the Irish Procurement Department. You will work with buyers, engineering, planning, project controls, construction, HSE, and quality teams to ensure purchase order requirements are understood and complied with by the supplier.What You'll DoAct as a senior representative of the procurement department to the wider IPS team and ensure that IPS’s procurement procedures are adhered to.Establish formal and informal communications with assigned suppliers to enable a timely, accurate, and forward-looking analysis of supplier's progress interim delivery schedules of supplier data, manufacturing milestones, material deliveries, testing activities, and material and equipment delivery.Track supplier data information movement to and from the supplier.Document progress in the progress management system.Conduct project reporting for both internal (IPS Project Managers) & external clients (clients)Prepare or contribute to the preparation of frequent reports detailing the supplier's progress, problems encountered, and solutions to maintain fabrication, testing, and delivery schedules.Provide pertinent information to the supplier evaluation program.Assist buyers in securing and validating the information that supports the timely processing of invoices for payment, especially partial and progress payments.Travel to suppliers' locations and fabrication shops to verify progress to construction and operational sites to ensure deliveries are occurring as required by the project (as needed).IPS offers exciting growth opportunities! Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering/Procurement or related discipline or equivalent work experience with proven knowledge of applicable theories, practices, and accepted procedures.3-6 years of experience working with clients in a customer service capacity.Has experience frequently working with outside customers.Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment and regularly interface with departmental staff and upper management.Proven experience maintaining confidential information is critical.Recognized as an equipment expediting expert.Previous experience using best practices to solve functional issues and improve programs and/or processes in support of organizational business challenges.Has experience participating in plan implementation.Relies on systemic thinking and an understanding of the broader organizational implications of the work being performed to solve problems.Advanced proficiency with applicable software applications in related fields (Microsoft Suite and other Procurement Databases).Able to discover issues, recommend solutions to business problems uncovered during the course of performing an assignment, and explain why things are done the way they are within a broader organizational context.Proficiently communicate ideas and concepts related to the project.Provides expertise and guidance to less experienced individuals.
