As a Software Test Engineer at Fiserv, you will be responsible for understanding customer needs, collaborating with developers, analysts, and tech leads across the delivery team to identify test scenarios, and proposing appropriate technical solutions. You will ensure the smooth operation of all software used on our global merchant acquiring platform by conducting system testing, driving quality assurance of code and configuration, and contributing to the continuous improvement of testing standards and automation.Primary ObjectivesPlay a central role in enhancing our automation capabilities for testing our core acquiring platform.Collaborate with business analysts and developers to write test cases for new changes and work within an Agile/Scrum development process.Develop and agree on test plans with BAs and Software Development engineers, reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.Contribute to improving our test automation framework around our batch system and growing suite of APIs on the platform.Contribute to our BDD framework, allowing testers to carry out tasks and generate test data via Jira input or Gherkin feature files.Log bugs, report issues to developers, and take full ownership and accountability for follow-up to ensure corrective action is taken.Gain knowledge of the merchant acquiring business and competence with our Merchant Acquiring platform to support other groups within the organisation.Knowledge & SkillsMinimum 3 years of software testing experience throughout all phases of a software testing cycle, including some automation experience.Automation & Scripting knowledge, particularly Python - Pytest, with the ability to create bespoke testing frameworks & tools.Ability to generate test cases from User Story Acceptance Criteria and contribute to BDD automation framework.Good knowledge of databases and SQL, highly desired.Quality-focused with strong attention to detail.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.Bachelor's degree in Computer/Software Engineering or comparable fields.Hands-on experience in agile implementations.Nice to haveExperience with Behavioural Driven Development & Test-Driven Development, knowledge of Gherkin Syntax with Cucumber a bonus.Experience with Postman/Rest Assured API Test Automation.Knowledge of SDLC tools such as Jenkins, Rundeck, Gitlab source control.Experience with Atlassian Toolset (JIRA).Experience in cloud solutions, e.g., Docker.What we can offer youCompetitive salary.Annual bonus based on performance.Health and Wellness Resource platform access for you and your family.Private Medical Insurance.Living Proof Points Scheme – Get recognised by your colleagues and spend your points at multiple high-street retailers.22 days annual leave, increasing with length of tenure.Cycle to work scheme.Career development, training, and professional qualification opportunities – we want to provide you with the tools to succeed and grow in your role.Apply using your legal nameComplete the step-by-step profile and attach your resume (either is acceptable, both are preferable).What you should know about us:Fiserv is a global leader in payments and financial technology with more than 40,000 associates proudly serving clients in more than 100 countries.
