With a commitment to quality, efficiency, and excellence, they deliver bespoke projects for educational, commercial, healthcare, and pharmaceutical clients.Responsibilities:Assist Senior QS in the cost management of multiple live projectsConduct detailed cost estimates, budget preparation, and cost control throughout the project lifecycleAnalyze project specifications and drawings to identify scope of work, materials, and resources requiredLiaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain competitive quotations and negotiate contractsMonitor and track project expenditure against budget, identifying variances and implementing corrective measures as neededAssist Senior Quantity Surveyor to ensure that all variations, payment applications, and final accounts are managed in accordance with contractual agreementsReview and assess change orders, variations, and claims, providing accurate cost assessments and recommendationsCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to optimize project costs and value engineering solutionsAssist Senior QS with financial reports, forecasts, and cost analysis to senior management and stakeholdersEnsure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies related to cost management and procurementRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field1-5 years’ of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industryStrong understanding of construction cost principles, measurement techniques, and contractual arrangementsProficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office applications.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders.Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in cost estimation and financial reporting.Proactive approach to identifying cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in construction cost management.ST-IND-23Ref: DO49 Tags:
