  • Our Client, one of Irelands largest and fastest growing Civil Contractors are currently recruiting for a Junior Quantity surveyor to join them in their office based out of Kilkenny, to assist on utility and public realm projects. This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to get valuable experience and learn essential skills in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate should have some previous experience in a similar role.

  • Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and maintaining reporting arrangements, resources and client relationships.
  • Quantity Surveying duties including re-measurement and the preparation of monthly progress applications.
  • Preparation of interim progress applications for payment and internal valuations.
  • Interim payments and settlement of subcontractors.
  • Preparation of monthly contract cost reports and management accounts information.
  • Preparation of Cost Preliminaries.
  • Ensure that sub-contract documents are properly executed prior to project commencement.
  • Requirements:

  • At least 1 – 2 years experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
  • A third level qualification in Quantity Surveying.
  • Experience in the utility/civil engineering sector would be a distinct advantage.
  • Ability to use own initiative, problem solve and adjust as issues arise during projects.
  • Excellent attention to detail and IT skills.
  • Must hold a full clean drivers licence.
  • Strong communications skills with a high level of motivation.
  • Strong organisation and time keeping / scheduling skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide input at team meetings.
