Your new company Here in Hays we have a great permanent opportunity for an aspiring Operational Excellence Specialist with our Scientific Services client based in Dungarvan.The client is a leading contract laboratory services provider specialized in testing and research services in the environmental, pharmaceutical, and biopharmaceutical sciences for world renowned industry leaders.The purpose of this role is to support the drive the successful implementation of OPEX / Lean / Six Sigma Methodology” in the laboratories and across the site.Your new role Coordinate assigned Continuous Improvement projectsAnalyse and improve Operational & Business processesSME for Lean & Six Sigma methods & successful applicationImplement project plans, and monitor progress against planTeach and drive Lean / Six Sigma tools and techniques to local employees, contributing & enabling a culture of continuous improvement.Maintain and build KPI’s and ensure all Lean / Six Sigma project targets and timelines are managed, ensure there is clear and adequate ownership and responsibilitySupport and enable a CI culture within the organisation through “lead by example”Contribute to and document best practiseDeputise for Site OPEX LeadClear communicator to cross-functional stakeholdersSupport site sustainability planWhat you'll need to succeed Scientific or Engineering third level qualification essentialLean / Six Sigma Green Belt certification is minimum essential, Black Belt certification desirable.Project Management desirableMinimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a fast past environmentHigh energy, drive and a passion for team success.Numerate with business acumenStrong interpersonal skillsProject ManagementCompetent in the application of process evaluation & optimisation tools (Lean / Six Sigma)Competent in Data Analysis & KPI’s (Metric driven)ERP & Business Intelligence software experienceProficient in Microsoft toolsScientific or Engineering third level qualification essentialLean / Six Sigma Green Belt certification minimum essential, Black Belt certification is desirableProject Management desirableMinimum of 2 years’ experience in similar role in a fast past environmentHigh energy, drive and a passion for team success.Numerate with business acumenStrong interpersonal skillsProject ManagementCompetent in the application of process evaluation & optimisation tools (Lean / Six Sigma)Competent in Data Analysis & KPI’s (Metric driven)ERP & Business Intelligence software experienceProficient in Microsoft toolsWhat you'll get in return Excellent developmental opportunities and career progression avenues into leadership positions.
