The Opportunity: To ensure raw materials and manufacturing departments are efficiently planned throughout the various manufacturing and ancillary processes. To provide forward capacity plan to achieve delivery performance targets, and to communicate with Customer services and Production Manager on all deviations or delays. To plan efficiently to minimise number of machine set ups whilst adhering to agreed delivery dates without the need for additional transportation costs. How You Will Impact WestRockGenerate production plan to meet forecasted demands and customer orders Effectively use the planning software and clearly define scheduling requirements throughout production. Understand and report on capacity planning issues. Ensure all relevant planning details and reports are available as required. Maintain good relationships with material suppliers.Attend and participate in weekly Operations meetings Various Ad hoc projects as requiredExperience and Skills required:Minimum of 2-3 years experience in the manufacturing industry. Previous experience in a planning & scheduling role would be an advantage. Problem solving skillsExcellent Communication skillsAbility to prioritise busy daily schedulesRelated qualification (Materials requirement planning, inventory control, supply chain management) an advantage, but not essential.Excellent communication skills, verbal and writtenStrong interpersonal skills Ability to prioritise effectively while managing multiple projectsA flexible approach to work.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite ProgrammesWhat we offer:Corporate culture based on integrity, respect, accountability and excellenceAn attractive salary reflecting skills, competencies and potential Comprehensive training with numerous learning and development opportunitiesA career with a global packaging company where sustainability, safety and inclusion are business drivers and foundational elements of the daily work WestRock is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
