Senior Engineer - Construction - Cork

The Client: My Client a c.€120m, Cork-based, Main Contractor with numerous projects in the Munster and Leinster regions. They take on residential, commercial, healthcare, educational and industrial (pharma, food and drink manufacturing) projects across the country and are known for the quality of their work. Main responsibilities will include: Come up with solutions to problems, where necessary. Oversee quality control and health and safety on site. Check plans and drawings to ensure all calculations are accurate. Report in to Project Manager Supervise Setting Out engineers. Manage various subcontractor relationships Check shuttering, steel and other dimensions prior to concrete pours. Liaise with subcontractors, clients and internal teams to ensure that program targets are met/exceeded where possible. Maintain materials reconciliation files. Requirements: Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. 4+ years experience as a Site Engineer/Senior Site Engineer with a Main Contractor or Residential Developer. Experience using setting out equipment - Eg. total station, GPS and laser levels. Knowledge of temporary works coordination. Possess a strong attention to detail and have the ability to work on own initiative. What's on offer? Above industry standard basic salary (DOE).
