Note: Responsibilities and accountabilities will vary for all positions and the scope of individual roles may not be limited to the contents of this position description. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Responsible for providing technical leadership within a production value stream and have ownership for the following. • Working within project teams to complete process characterization work, process worst case challenge testing, process capability and stability runs, to qualify new product & processes to achieve annual business plan. • Identification and implementation of process related continuous improvement activities that improve product quality and grow overall equipment efficiency. • Ensure the delivery of high quality, new and innovative products to our customers, in a timely and efficient manner across multiple product value streams. • Planning and co-ordination of projects within a matrix environment. • Apply troubleshooting expertise to resolve complex equipment, systems and process problems using statistical and analytical methodologies. • Communicate details of findings throughout the organization. • Keep up to date on the latest process engineering developments and technologies and demonstrate breakthrough ideas that set new performance standards. • Engage with the appropriate personnel in the identification and resolution of corrective/preventative actions that address quality, technical, and manufacturing issues. • Lead process redesign projects, from inception to finish, complete proof of principle activities, assist in the development and installation & qualification of new process equipment. Qualifications EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION Required: • Minimum a Level 8. B.Sc. or B.Eng. Honors degree qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, with a proven track record of delivering results. • Minimum 3 years’ work experience in a regulated manufacturing environment. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES AND AFFILIATIONS · Minimum a Level 8. B.Sc. or B.Eng. Honors degree qualification in Physics/Chemistry/Biological Science or Mechanical/Material/Process Engineering, with a proven track record of delivering results. · Experience in problem-solving and data analysis to complement decision making process. Previous experience in the use of statistical techniques (DOE, Process Capability Analysis, Hypothesis Test methods) and problem-solving methodologies is desirable. · Familiarity with equipment validation within a regulated manufacturing environment. · Good interpersonal skills and ability to relate well to people both individually and in a team environment. · Good problem-solving methodology and able to manage multiple activities at one time. · High level of self-motivation required. · High level of self-motivation required . Ability to take the initiative and yet possess the collaborative and influencing skills needed to be a key contributor to cross-functional teams. · Competency in MS Office suite including Excel, Project and PowerPoint. Solid understanding of a data analysis tool such as JMP or Minitab.
