We have been Building Excellence for over 150 years by building trust, certainty, and value for our clients.CSA Sustainable Design / Carbon Manager - UK or IRE basedThe CSA Sustainable Design / Carbon Manager will join the Sustainable Design and Carbon Management team. They will be responsible for supporting project teams and their clients in measuring the embodied carbon of a project design following RICS, Levels and TM65 as appropriate, using tools such as One Click LCA and reviewing EPDs and material databases. They would also identify opportunities to reduce the embodied carbon emissions through design efficiency and lower carbon material alternatives.The CSA Sustainable Design / Carbon Manager will work within a multidisciplinary team developing more efficient and sustainable design alternatives with a holistic approach for Sisk and our clients. They will engage with other teams in a truly Collaborative environment. You will be: Part of the Sustainable Design and Carbon Management team to manage and reduce the embodied carbon of the projects we work on. Helping the business make informed decisions through the provision of robust carbon data and effective interpretation. Supporting work winning activities, advising on embodied carbon related matters. Support the delivery of training, briefings and workshops as required. Be a trusted advisor to project teams. Developing and implementing carbon reduction opportunities with a focus on the CSA elements.Assisting in the development of carbon management procedures and their integration them into the relevant management systems, with a focus on the CSA elements. Good understanding of low carbon materials and construction methologies.Assist with the implementation of carbon management and verification strategies for internal and external compliance.Take part on research initiatives, both internally and externally, with our collaborators and partners. Introduce innovative practices and mentor junior members of the team as requiredYou will have:Minimum 5 years of sustainable design / carbon management experience, ideally with an Structural / Civil Engineering or Architectural background. Relevant Engineering / Architectural or related technical degree.Past experience in sustainable design / carbon management. Robust knowledge of carbon management systems and standards.Experience on all the stages of the project, including the construction phase.Strong project development capabilities for complex, large-scale projects. Knowledge of innovative carbon reduction technologies.
