We have an excellent opportunity for a new Senior Associate or Manager to work within the Company Secretarial practice of KPMG Law in our Stokes Place office.Location: Dublin Grade: Senior Associate or Manager Contract type: PermanentA snapshot of your peer group: Previous experience in a Company Secretarial role in investment fund and /or asset management (minimum 2-3 years). Previous experience with the Central Bank's ONR system and online portal. Previous experience of incorporating fund companies. A third-level qualification in related field. Qualified Chartered Secretary/Governance professional (ICSA) is preferable but not essential. Excellent interpersonal and team-working skills. Advanced PC skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. A working knowledge of SAP or a similar database system would be a definite advantage but not essential as training will be provided. Excellent communication skills. Keen attention to detail. Prioritising work using time management and organisational skills. Good project management skills with an ability to work unsupervised on day-to-day duties and tasks. A high degree of enthusiasm and adaptability. Reliability/Flexibility. Experience of Diligent OneWorld or equivalent software. Fluent in English (written and spoken). Here is what you can initially expect: The successful candidate will be expected to work as part of a team, providing both compliance and specialist company secretarial services to a dynamic client base. Preferably, but not essential, he or she will be expected to have knowledge of company secretarial practice and relevant company law, including the Companies Act 2014, beneficial ownership legislation and some experience in stamp duty. The successful candidate must be capable of being able to manage regulated funds and being responsible for their compliance obligations. A thorough understanding of the company secretarial requirements for regulated funds is essential. An ability to liaise directly with clients, project management skills and analytical and logical thinking are considered key skills for the successful candidate. Prepare presentations and quotes for new work. Create PowerPoint charts, spreadsheets and carry out ad-hoc reporting. Preparation of invoices and issue to clients. Preparation of company secretarial documents (Minutes, letters and supporting documents) Providing professional cover as the need arises. Miscellaneous projects from time to time. The successful candidate will also provide general assistance in the operational activities of Company Secretarial. Supporting the day-to-day requirements of meeting client demands, both internal and external. Identify opportunities to win new work and develop your portfolio.
