Position: Canteen and Cleaning Assistant   We are currently looking for a canteen and cleaning assistant to join our canteen and cleaning team who will help take care of our facilities and carry out cleaning and maintenance duties and will also help to prepare meals according to menu.    The successful candidate will work within the cleaning team one week and within the canteen every second week.   The canteen and cleaning assistant undertakes a range of duties which are but are not limited to: Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas which includes dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning locker and restroom facilities etc. Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities.  Carry out heavy cleansing tasks weekly. Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs. Stock and maintain supply rooms which includes the supply of protective overalls to production staff when needed. Cooperate with rest of the staff including stepping into canteen to help when needed. Prepare tea/coffee and/or serve food when needed. Setting up workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment Cook set meals which are set out day-to-day. Check food while cooking. Keeping a clean and sanitized kitchen. Ensure all food and other items are stored correctly. Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages. Serving staff Operating till and handling cash Ensuring all utensils are clean and readily available. Ensuring the Canteen is kept clean and sanitized. Follow all health and safety regulations Requirements & Skills: Working experience in cleaning would be preferred but not essential. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies would be preferred but not essential. Ability to follow all food safety procedures/food handling procedures. Experience in a Canteen/Deli environment would be preferred but not essential. Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware. Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods Ability to work in a team. Good communication skills
