MACOM will not discriminate against any worker or job applicant on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, ancestry, age, sexual orientation, marital or civil partnership status, pregnancy, disability, genetic information, veteran status, military obligations, or membership in any other category protected under applicable law.Job Description:Responsible for the release of new and innovative IC based products into high volume productionLead and participate in technical design reviews to help improve the manufacturability and testability of products under developmentImprove the yields and profitability of existing productsMain Duties and Responsibilities: Interface with design groups on new product introduction and design for manufacturabilityDevelop production test plans to verify product performance and perform analysis of data using sound statistical methodology in order to set test limits and datasheet specificationsContinuously improve manufacturing test processesSupport testing in lab for new designsLiaise with cross-functional teams to ensure engineering and production targets are achievedMonitor and investigate yield issues arising at any stage in the manufacturing and testing processSupport reliability team in new product qualification and failure analysisEnsure all aspects of product manufacturing, including hardware, documentation, BOMs and costing are in place for the production release of a productKey Competencies/Skills Required: Significant exposure to and knowledge of RF and microwave componentsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsKnowledge of statistical data analysis tools (e.g. Minitab, JMP etc..)Good planning and organisational skillsGood interpersonal and communications skillsIn-depth understanding of statisticsAbility and desire to learn new technologiesDemonstrated ability to work on cross functional teamsFamiliar with RF testing and troubleshootingProficiency in spoken and written EnglishKnowledge of SAP is desirable but not essentialWillingness to travel occasionallyMinimum Qualifications: Advanced degree in a science or engineering disciplineFive or more years of relevant work experience such as Semiconductor based product engineering/development, RF testing or characterisation
