Vickerstock are proud to be partnering with a well known brand in the FMCG market to recruit a Health and Safety Officer for their team in Drogheda. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting, driving, and embedding a positive health and safety culture within our organisation. They will review, develop, and improve policies and procedures in line with relevant legislation and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.Key Objectives:Promote, drive, and embed a Positive Health & Safety Culture within Nature's Best Ltd.Review, develop, and improve policies and procedures for Health & Safety in accordance with relevant legislation and best practice.Ensure a safe working environment for all employees by ensuring compliance with legislation.Carry out, review, and update all Risk Assessments and SOP's for the site.Investigate all incidents/accidents and implement preventative and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Conduct regular site safety inspections/audits of all areas ensuring continuous improvements are made.Ensure that Nature's Best Health & Safety policies and procedures are implemented, taking measures to control and mitigate risks.Develop key relationships, both internally and externally.Provide advice, guidance, and instruction in all Health & Safety matters.Coordinate with the HR department to carry out all Health & Safety Training on-site.Ensure that emergency response procedures are maintained and updated as required.Lead, coach, and develop our teams on Health & Safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments.Lead initiatives to increase and develop best practices in Health & Safety.Reviewing Contractor documentation to ensure compliance.Qualifications / Skills / Experience:Third Level Qualification in Health & Safety or a related discipline - essential.A minimum of 2 years H & S experience is required - experience in food manufacturing is a distinct advantage.In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, regulations, and standards.Proven ability to drive continuous improvement.Excellent verbal, written, communication, and IT skills.Effective handling of Health & Safety investigations.To speak in absolute confidence about this opportunity please send an up to date CV via the link provided or contact Ruairi McCann, Recruitment Manager at Vickerstock 015267473Even if this position is not right for you, we may have others that are.
