Warehouse Manager

Hays Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to oversee daily operations within the logistics division of our Client. The ideal candidate will manage receiving, storage, inventory management, picking, packing, product assembly, and shipping of orders. This role involves supervising and coordinating the logistics team, planning and prioritizing work assignments, and training team members on procedures, safety protocols, and company policies. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, product assembly, order picking, packing, and shipping. Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and promote a culture of safety awareness. Optimize warehouse layout and storage strategies to improve space utilization and efficiency. Manage inbound and outbound logistics by coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers. Oversee scheduling and dispatch of deliveries, ensuring on-time and accurate shipments. Monitor and optimize order picking, packing, and shipping processes to meet or exceed customer expectations. Conduct regular cycle counts and full inventory audits to ensure accuracy and integrity. Implement robust inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies. Lead, train, and motivate logistics team members to achieve operational excellence. Identify areas for process improvement and implement methodologies to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and increase productivity. Leverage technology and the warehouse management system (WMS) to automate processes and enhance data accuracy. Prepare and present detailed reports on performance, including KPIs, inventory levels, and logistics metrics. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, inventory control, and logistics, preferably within the eCommerce industry. Excellent IT skills with a strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is an advantage. Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
