There are a number of dedicated teams within DIO including on the corporate tax side: Plcs, Entrepreneurs and Private Business, R&D, Property and Mergers and Acquisitions and the typical kind of projects that we advise on include group reorganisations, financing and refinancing projects, management buy-outs and much more.What we do:Our role is to help our clients improve their tax function to control risk and facilitate better decision making. You will work with some of the best Corporate Tax professionals both in PwC Ireland but also within our global network giving you a unique opportunity to collaborate with colleagues around the world and work not only on Irish tax issues but also on transactions spanning international borders.As a Senior Associate in the Corporate/Deals Tax group, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:Working on a challenging, evolving and varied client portfolio, with excellent opportunities to develop into the management of your own portfolio. Advise clients on business structuring, mergers and acquisitions, cross border expansion, financing, tax audits etc.Co-ordinate advice from foreign offices on cross-border mattersEmbracing the digital transformation being undertaken in our business. Being motivated to familiarise yourself with these evolutions and to drive these technologies further in our day-to-day business and that of our clients.Assisting in the ongoing management of client relationships, business development and participating in various consultancy projects.Utilising the flexible working environment with efficient management of personal assignments, while reporting to a team of experienced senior managers, directors and partners. Development of your own career. With sustained levels of growth in our tax practice, you will have an excellent opportunity to progress and specialise. Mentoring and coaching trainees, promoting autonomy to make a difference and deliver results.Being part of and contributing to the fun working environment offered by PwC and acting as an advocate to promote our learning culture.About you – Key Qualifications/Skills & Experience:AITI qualified / part-qualified with 1-2 years’ relevant Corporate Tax experience.Effective working knowledge of Corporation Tax in Ireland or internationally.Enthusiasm to work with our broad range of clients, to understand their businesses and work with them to address and manage risk.Desire to learn and to apply the knowledge you gain from the regular training sessions we hold on topics that will impact our clients’ businesses Business Acumen - use a wide selection of tools and techniques to extract insights from current trends in the market and utilise this information to assist your clients in making innovative business decisions.Relationship management - ability to read situations and modify behaviour to build quality, diverse relationships.Creative - demonstrate an ability to contribute to new ideas and propose innovative solutions to problems. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Energetic team player with a passion to coach and encourage others to achieve their potential.Ambitious – demonstrate strong commitment to personal learning and development.Unlock your potential with PwC IrelandWe believe that challenges are better solved together!
