Overview of Role UPMC Whitfield is currently recruiting a PET/CT Senior radiographer. The successful candidate will work closely with the CSR and other team members in the daily delivery of the PET/CT service to meet the operational needs of the hospital. Post: Full-time specified purpose position Hours: 35 per week, flexibility around working days and times is an inherent part of these roles. Duties & Responsibilities Essential that the appropriate candidate can carry out general and highly complex PET/CT and Radiographic procedures ensuring high professional standards of work are achieved and maintained while abiding by strict current legislation. Implement and maintain a quality assurance programme for the Department. Regularly liaise with the physicist on safety issues and other operational issues as appropriate. Be accountable for the day-to-day quality of the service provided, including customer service and technical aspects. Contribute to the development and implementation of operational policies, protocols, and guidelines to ensure optimum utilisation of resources and systematic audit of such usage. To keep abreast in understanding and knowledge of all new developments which are applicable to PET/CT Imaging. To offer help and advice to more junior members of staff. Qualifications & Experience Third level degree (hons) in Diagnostic Radiography. A recognised postgraduate course in Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT as recognised by the IIRRT preferrable but not compulsory Be a member of or be eligible for membership of The Irish Institute of radiography and Radiation Therapy (IIRRT) Must be registered in the Radiographer's Division by The Radiographers Registration Board maintained at CORU UPMC is an equal opportunity employer.
