Accounts Assistant: Our client is a well-established retailer based in Cork city centre is seeking an Accounts Assistant on a 12-M FTC. Our client has a proven track record of being a great place to work with a great staff retention record due to their employee centric approach. This role is an initial 12 Month contract based in the office 5 days a week.Responsibilities:·Code and key accounts payable and process timely payments online.·Input and verify invoices using appropriate information.·Balance debtors/creditors listing each month.·Responsible for VAT returns, insurance renewals and year end accounts.·Investigate all discrepancies with invoice totals and work within the company to balance all accounts.·Monthly bank/visa reconciliation and analysis of accounts and variances.·Prepare monthly financial reports and correspondence for internal or external review.·Various accounting, journal entries and inventory adjustments·Deal with admin emails, preparing reports, scan and photocopy.·Maintain purchasing and stock.·Document procedures, processes, and policies.·Contribute to and/or complete special projects as assigned.Requirements: • 3-5 years’ experience working as an Accounts Assistant • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Diploma preferred. • Accounting Technician qualification is an advantage but not essential. • IT Literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel. • Very strong attention to detail. • Good communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and under your own initiative. • Available to work in the office on a full-time basis 5 days a week.
